does anyone remember the show from 1999 called "Freaks and Geeks"? It only lasted for one season. I have the dvds. I watch it all the time, and I still laugh my ass off each time that i watch it.

I had to watch the DVDs in a class I took. I remember it was a good show.

yeah it was a good show but never really got a chance to take off.

I always thought Linda Cardellini was pretty hot as well

I really loved that show, what happened to it. It was hilarious and getting more entertaining. How do these other shows that are not that funny last as long as they do?

It's now a cult classic like other short-lived, critical acclaimed shows like "Arrested Development", "Dead Like Me", "Firefly" and "Twin Peaks". I hate it when great shows are critically beloved but axed by the networks due to low ratings. I'm really worried for instance, about the future of "Pushing Daisies". Despite it being a very excellent show. I'd be shocked if it lasts more than three seasons. Its too off the beaten path to become successful. I mean I live in a country where drivel like "My Wife and Kids" is the #1 comedy in the nation and "Cavemen" gets 6.6 million viewers a night - more than "Firefly" even got (still got canceled. One thing you can thank the WGA strike for) and "The Office" and "30 Rock" are hanging on by a thread (and also mostly becuase 1. they have die hard fan bases, 2. critics love them and 3. the execs love them.).

I saw a couple of episodes and it was good. However, I also enjoy My Wife and Kids just because the situations resemble families that I know of.

... 8O
really?

I don't like My Wife and Kids, Two and A Half Men or Yes, Dear. They never clicked with me the way Freaks and Geeks or Dead Like Me did.
