I find myself doing this really often. I just can't stay still for a long period of time. Especially when i'm bored. It's like I got to get up out the chair and go to the kitchen and get a sip to drink etc. (not alchohol)

Yes, I pace everywhere, also in my room, at the bus stop, at work... sometimes I feel like I can't think properly unless I'm moving. :?

I get up, walk through the apartment, go back to my room, go back out, go into the bath or the kitchen, come back to my room...

I have to stop myself from doing it when my mother is home. She hates it. Fortunately, I can control myself.

But I do it all the time when I am alone. No need to suppress it, I'm out of my room and walking around faster than I realise I am doing it. I just open the door and walk on impulse. It takes a few moments to realise I have no destination set in my mind.

All the time. In small circles, in big circles, around things (like benches at bus stops, or poles), anything so's I'm pacing. I do it during conversations and get asked to stop. I do it near my father and get told to stop.

Yes. I am the general housekeeper and so I pace in big circles back and forth, picking things up/dusting/gathering dishes and then I finish the tasks at the appropriate 'stops' within my circles.

In rare circumstances that I have a phone conversation, I pace around like a madwoman. I can't sit still and talk on the phone.

This is sometimes the case with me.

I'm constantly pacing particulalry when im thinking or aggitated. I do this a lot just after I talk to someone on the phone. opr if i answer the cellphone and im free to pace I will pace through the house while on the cellphone.

I do it if I am feeling anxious, waiting for a call for work, because I am on call 24-7, sometimes I pace for no raisins :(

It's counter clockwise circles for me, and I couldn't think straight if I never did it. I thought it was unusual to have urges to stand up and pace in the middle of class, particularly when the class is boring. Why does it annoy people? And what is dizzy?

I really thought that it was just me, just goes to show we're all similar. I don't do it outside or in public places though. Just in the house.

I pace lots at home, especially if bored or deep in thought about something. It bugs the wife and she moans "Stop pacing! Sit down - get a book or something!" nag, nag, nag - but that's what partners are for. :)

Yes. It can be hours before I realize I'm doing it.

When is the U.S. pacing competition? I bet I'd have a fair chance at beating you, since I've paced ever since I learned to walk.
