So, I couldent sleep and I decided to go out take some pictures of the approaching thunderstorm. Well - I got my first lightning picture ever! I'm so excited. I posted it on my blog!

wow that looks close , its a great picture, be careful, I had a bad close call while storm chasing, got out of my car and noticed a funnel forming directly overhead

That IS a strong shot! I would imagine after the thrill of shooting it and looking at your leisure you realized HOW ******* CLOSE that was!

I just emailed the local TV meteorologists copies of it, I wonder if they will air it.

That is really amazing.
Around a month ago I was out all night trying to photograph the lunar eclipse and when I got the pictures back they were all pitch black and awful looking. I've pretty much ruled out trying to photograph anything at night after so many experiences. But this is great.
