The vaccination for hepatites B affects the symptoms of children with the autism spectrum? Also the doctors Wackefield and Singh found that some disorders of autistic children are caused because of the triple vaccin of DTP. What is your opinion?Is there any synergism between vaccination and the autistic spectrum?

No, there has been no peer-reviewed research study that links autism and vaccines with the exception of the Wakefield one, which has been discredited by the Lancet (the journal that published it) for being inaccurate and unethical.

Noooooo nooooo noooooooo!! ! NO CONNECTIONS WITH VACCINES, or mercury or anything else for that matter in my humble opinion. It is simple................good old fashioned....................genetics! We call everyone on the spectrum a jellybean as it is easier than the millions of labels! BUT.................it takes a jellybean to make a jellybaby! SIMPLE AS!

Dr Andrew Wakefield in my opinion is on the spectrum himself! I MEAN honestly what doctor pays children for their blood at a party??? Duhhhhh, how inappopriate is that! I see many jelly tendencies in him AND Prof Roy Meadow too!

Wakefield is awaiting his fate now and I for one hope he gets struck off for life and never allowed near a child again! SORRY strong stuff I know but he did the damage at MY training hospital!! !! Grrrrrrrr

How's this for a genetics connection: My 9 y/o DD has AS. I have AS, 3 of my 5 siblings have AS, my Grandpa had AS(speculating), and at least 2 other of his children I would speculate have AS. I am not close to the extended family on that side, but I sure remember some quirky cousins growing up - ADD, anti-social, tantrums, etc. My grandpa was notorious for his obsession with Elvis and toy trains. He was also an "unfeeling, anti-social jerk" per my NT Mother, "just like your father." LOL!

I suspect that my sister with AS traits who also has a child(4 month old) may not pass it on. Her husband is very social and NT and mine is definitely AS. Time will tell.

I take some experimentations to alleviate the core symptoms of Asperger on my son but the results are negatives or zero:

A)Treatment with the association risperdal /zoloft he had severe side effects :augmentation of agressivity and the augmentation of gluicose levels.

B)Treatment witg l-thianine and GABA are not change his behaviour

C)Fish oils on large doses (omega-3 fatty acids etc) not help him.

How we can investigate more coping strategies to giving him the freedom and peace of mind to do works best for him at home?
I will test homeopathy for increasing capacity to cope with the situation in a healthier manner.
Can you inform me about the homeopathic treatment?18 years old is a rough age with hormones shifting?

The MMR vaccine is, I'm fairly sure, the one that gets blamed the most for causing autism... I never got the MMR, because I had a bad reaction to the DPT vaccine, and I ended up on the spectrum anyway So I'm skeptical about the link between vaccines and autism.
