Here's the thing: now that calculus does not make me suffer as much as before, it's Physics II (electricity and magnetism) that makes me want to undertake major changes in my romantic life.

I currently have that Calculus II girlfriend, but she didn't even take Physics I. Should I break up with her and date another girl with greater Physics II ability than my own? :D

why are you going to change girlfriends over a freaking class..

girls are not toasters, you dont replace a girlfriend when you move away... you take them with... think of it more like a refrigerator, your more likely to take a refrigerator when your moving than a toaster.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Why, do you never see her OUTSIDE of class? Does she even know she's your girlfriend, or is it one-sided?
I can't think of any other reasons why you might consider this.

I dated her for my own class needs. What I feel for her now is completely different from what I felt for her when I first met her.

The reason as to why I never see her outside of college is that she is the college's rowing team and she has to train about 25 hours a week. With some luck, she could very well be in the national team. :D

My husband is an engineer and I am a physiotherapist. He plays soccer and collects stamps. I belly-dance, go to Taekwondo and like sewing.

We've been happily married for 13 years, together for 16 years.

I'm not sure why you would break up with someone over another class! 8O

Unless of course there are other issues/problems in your relationship.

I've just read your thread again.

It sounds like you used your girlfriend to help you with class and now you're looking for another girl to use to help you.

If you want help with a class, just ask someone! You don't have to date them to get help.

I think the very fact that this thread was not a joke means you have to dump this girl for her own good. I've never heard such a crass, heartless way to start a relationship.

If it WAS actually a joke, than I withdraw this because it was almost funny. But otherwise... man, you need to sort yourself out.

What the blue bloody hell does the classes you're taking have to do with relationships?

Your idea of a gf, and my idea of a gf, are 2 totally different things. 8O

if you feel different about her then thats your decision. you shouldn't break up with her just because you have different academic interests.

the both of you are dumbasses and dont deserve a girlfriend, even if this is some sort of sick joke its not funny... just because you switched classes does not mean you have to get a girlfriend in that class

If you're in Quebec's Pure Science college program, Calculus II and Physics II are two courses you take at the same semester. However, my current girlfriend is in college because of her sport and has to take less classes in a semester (4-5 as opposed to 7 for standard students). Also, being an Healthcare Science gal, for people who are in college because of their sports, Physics II is only in two semesters for her.

In Quebec's CEGEPs (colleges), Pure and Healthcare Science are two college programs with the same high school requirements. Here are the main differences between them:

Pure Science guys have Geology I as a compulsory course, Chemistry III and Biology II are optional; also they have three "free" courses and start with Physics I (mechanics) right off the bat. These guys are more geared towards engineering, math, physics and chemistry in university.

Healthcare Science guys have to go through Chemistry III and Biology II, but at the costs of delays in their Physics courses. They only have two free courses, but Geology is an option. These people strive for medicine, dental, veterinarian, optometric, chiropractical and pharmacy schools, also their main targets are healthcare-based, but they also aim for biology, biochemistry and biophysics.

It's my hardships that shifted, not my classes. If not for Physics I would have stayed with her, because she is just about as skilled in calculus as I am. :D
