Would you get a weighted blanket for yourself if you didn't have an OT?

They work.

Would not have known about them if it weren't for the OT.

Am have an OT,but will never bother with blankets, they're too light for am,am use a very big heavy weight rug,it is great but it has it's problems [it's a heavy weight rug so doesn't bend easily].

If all else fails, use a couple of normal blankets layered on top of each other.

I want a weighted blanket, but I have to save up the money. They are so darn expenisive out here in the U.S...are they cheap in the UK?? 8O Im still not sure that what weight would be good for my blanket?! I do like the pressure feeling and i love the feeling of pressure on my body. Helps to calm me. My husband at night while im going to sleep throws his leg over mine and then wraps his arms on me and make it really right to give me that pressure feeling..ahhh i fall right alseep in mintues LOL. :D

Sorry, but what's an OT?

I'm sure I know the answer, but I can't think of it...

I don't have a weighted blanket, but I lay under my mattress for awhile and it does the trick. A blanket would be easier to handle.

Is a weighted blanket just a really heavy blanket or quilt?

Sometimes I do that, but the springs start poking at you and...

I've never heard of this...what does it do? I haven't been diagnosed yet...but I have always had five blankets on me when I am in bed and I always put my head over it, too...
