something am had been trying to ignore, has come around too quick,am going into hospital next week and will be staying there from wedsday till friday, first time am have stayed in hospital since teenager, but was drugged up with morphine then so it made it a lot easier.

it will be on some sort of neuro ward, and am will have own room/own everything, though the reason am there is they want to see whats going on in brain during meltdowns so they can give more meds that are better tailored, they want to have MDs set off in the hospital-though dont like this idea at all as the MDs are agonising inside-if am aware of them and severe in self injury and injury to others if they get close, have been told the staff team will be coping with it and to not think of it.
am will have own usual day and night staff team from home, and the home managers and LD-CPN are coming but haven't allowed staff to tell family the exact date so they can't turn up [hate them fussing, and hate it when people sit in room talking all day around am].

the only compensation am getting out of all of this,is the home manager said am can buy the new grand theft auto on the way back.

am wondering, does anyone have ideas of what to bring, what not to bring, what are allowed, what not allowed etc.
eg,do they allow laptops to be used in hospitals because they dont [or do they now] allow mobile phones,do hospitals have wireless internet that sort of stuff?
what things made it easier for self as an autie or aspie?

I don't know about the hospital you are going to, but at the hospital I work at we have no internet access for the patients.
They can bring in their cell phones and laptops.
The nurses stations have computers and internet access, and we do have a computer for patients and family members to look up medical information on, but that's one computer out in the front of the hospital waiting area.

People also bring their own DVD's to play on their computers or DVD players.
I have seen those little portable video games that patients bring in.

I suppose it might be worthwhile to either ask the hospital if you could plug in your computer to their internet and use it, but I suspect they would say no because of the concern about computer viruses.

If you brought your own CAT5 cable (the one to plug your computer into the internet port), you might be able to convince a nurse to let you plug in anyway... maybe at night when there are less hospital people around.

I'm sorry, I keep saying 'you', although the relatively short time I've been here I still have never known if 'am' is you or 'am' is someone you know.

Either way... I do hope everything goes well! :D
