whoever posted that repulsive picture is dangerously sick. You won. I will no longer post on this forum.

That photo alone tells me that there are very sick people on here that are not getting the proper help. It goes beyond Aspergers. There obviously needs to be a moderator, more attention to what's going on. This is not the place for me.

Do people realize there are kids that post on here too?

I'm disgusted. Parents should remove their kids from this site immediately.

The internt is not the place for kids. That photo is the reason why.

Thank you all for your help and kind words.

I agree the mods are taking quite a while to act on this one...posting pics like that for everybody to see should not be tolerated in any way.

Just a note, although I know the colloquial expression is "sick and need help", I consider posting things like that an ethical problem, not a medical one. And, yes, absolutely disgusting.

It's too bad you think you need to leave a forum because of it though. People can do that on any forum where they can register easily (including some that require you to fill out a little form before you get approved, it's not like they usually check you out that well). It doesn't say a thing about anybody else here, unless that was a sockpuppet account.

Basically, it's not accurate to claim that because a website has been targeted by a troll, then this says anything about the character of the rest of the people who go there.

Think of it like people who draw hate propaganda on the walls of synagogues. The character of white supremacists defacing the building is in no way reflective of the character of the Jews who go there to worship. And while there are ways to discourage this sort of thing, there is no way humanly possible to fully protect a synagogue against being defaced in this manner.

Same with the people who vandalized a gay community center around here. It had been a safe place for gay people to go without being threatened with violence. Then someone broke some windows and did other stuff to it. The people who went there to get away from hate, are not the same as the people who brought their hate with them when they vandalized the building.

If the moderators saw all this and said it was okay and sanctioned it, that would reflect on the character of the site. But this person has already been banned. What more can moderators do, even if they want to keep a place absolutely child-friendly?

It's the internet, there is always some jerk begging for attention by being well...a jerk. It is a shame, but realize it's more a problem of humanity rather than WP...

No one is perfect, not the mods, and certainly not that troll.

there might not be any mods on who has the powers to remove/ban.

and equinn,
dont leave because of this.
there is no saying why that user did what they did, but because theyre on a forum for people with ASDs doesn't mean they have one, they could be a non autie or aspie, randomly looking for forums to troll and spam.

whilst it is bad what they have done,it could have been worse [eg,hackers,DoS attack, forum deface-that would require having to wait for Alex to sort it out then].

This site is not the first site where someone has posted that image.

That picture is called "tubgirl", and posting it to offend people is a common occurrence.

I thought it looked familiar.

Pictures are pictures, there is nothing that picture can do to harm a child.
I agree that it's disgusting and has no place here, I agree the person doing it should be banned and the picture removed as I don't particularly enjoy seeing it...but pulling yourself from the forum and recommending others do the same isn't the answer.

You'll find people like that in every corner of the world, and offensive material in any form of music, film, fiction, gaming, and so on that you go near. You'll never be able to avoid it all, and so the answer isn't hiding from it - it's learning that it's just a gross picture and it can't hurt you, and moving on.

I think a kid sheltered from every piece of offensive anything for his entire life will have a lot more trouble dealing with such things than a kid who saw it now and again and had a parent explain what it was.

Also, there are plenty of people on the net with nothing better to do than harass other people on the net. Leaving a perfectly good forum because of one of these people is just giving in to the lowest common denominator.

I hate my curiosity :?

I had to look that up on the internet and it was absolutely horrible. Almost made me wanna puke. Anyway...

Please dont leave because of this, there will always be morons who post this sort of crap just cause they think they are really funny. I understand you think of the children, but im sure the moderators handle stuff like this asap and that hopefully not many kids got to see this.

I'm glad he is gone, he could have ruined this site for everyone. He has still done a lot of damage though.

This is nothing compared to the kind of trolling I saw back on Gaiaonline. I saw things that were far worse than Tubgirl.

You guys really shouldn't let this sort of thing bother you. So a troll gets in. Big deal. Like previous posters have said, it happens on every forum.

This whole freaking out is exactly the type of reaction people want when they post things like that. My question is why you would hold an entire forum accountable for one person being an idiot.
