If a US citizen made enough last year to pay taxes (taxable income greater than zero after deductions), it's 600 BushBucks for an individual, $1200 for married filing jointly. If taxable income was zero or less, it's 300 individual, 600 married filing jointly.
If you made over $75,000, there's no rebate at all. Then again, you probably don't need one, do you?

So. . if you qualify, what are you doing with YOUR "BushBucks?"

I don't know what FirstInLine has in mind for her slice, but I'll be putting mine into our 50th reunion this August and October.

If the money is not seized by the court to go towards my outstanding debt I'm declaring bankruptcy for...I'll probably get a new PC or maybe a PS3 or Xbox 360 or something.

If you chose direct deposit on your return, they will start going out next week or so.

Physical checks start going out next month.

Sequence of issue is based on last 3 numbers on your social security number. If your number ends in 500, you will be issued right in the middle of the bunch. They expect to have all of them shipped by end of Summer.

That sounds like we even get money if we've never had to file taxes. How do they find you then? Cause I am VERY good at staying off the gov'ts radar... half the time, they aren't even sure I exist.

It's really just your money anyway. they are just giving a very small portion of the money they already stole form you back. so I'm not exactly excited about it but I will take as much of my money back as i can of course.

We're going to spend it on rice, beans and bottled water, and buy some Aquacones. I have a feeling the next few years are going to be rough for the US.

I am interested that no one has said "Why, some of this fabulous windfall will go towards defraying costs for WrongPlanet.net to insure it's stability and expansion!"

just sayin'

I would give money if they could get rid of that stupid spider ad on the side. Until then I've suffered enough.

No, the one for the smileys which screams "NO WAY!" and scares the bejeezus out of me. I'd pay good money to get that removed.

Anyway, i'm using my newly found income (I was worried that I didn't qualify because I have SSI so I never actually applied, but my mom is finally giving me the $200 she's owed me since last December) to buy myself some more CDs. Or maybe some new t-shirts or a few books.

Dental Work, or another bike maybe, depends on how bad my teeth hurt by then cause I'd much rather have another bike.

Actually, since the government has a deficit, they can't give you your money back. They are borrowing more money in your name and giving it to you, with easy terms for repayment.

Spending mine on insulation for the attic, beehives. So I am spending it, but also investing it.
