My dog can be complete and utter sweet hart one minute and the next start growling and snarling and dive under the bed. The last couple nights he was up all night growling at nothing. i attribute him being like this to my dad smacking him as a puppy and me being awake all night couple years ago.

My pet bird has bipolar. There is no doubt in my mind. One moment he is crying in the corner of his cage being depressed and the next he is happy and extremely hyper showing off and looking cute. I also believe he has delusions. How cute a bird with delusions. I think he needs to take my anti depressant and anti psychotic more than I do. He sits there and thinks he's God. When I go over to him he dips his head a little bit meaning for me to bow to him. When I don't, he cries. When I tell him he's not God, he cries. By the way, he is the cutest thing on Earth. When you look at him you die because you couldn't handle the cuteness.

LOL, when I first saw this post I thought you were literally saying your dog had a Biopolar Disorder. Well I never did agree with smacking animals growing up and as it turns out they say you shouldn't. But no one ever listens to me.

Sorry about your dog. I'm sure they have behaviorists that could help you with that.

Dogs are bipolar by nature. It keeps you guessing, solidifying their place at the top of the pack.

My dog once ate a whole packet of my mothers anti-depressants.

My mother and I took him to the vet immediately when we came home and found him chewing on what was left of the packet. The vet said that because of his body weight there was no immediate danger. He said that my dog might have diarrhea for a short while, or vomit a few times, or just be an extremely hyper/happy dog.
Thankfully, we got the hyper/happy dog result! It was like he was completely manic. He was running around the lawn in circles, literally jumping up and down on the grass and barking at his paw.
It wore off after a few hours and he just kind of "crashed". He went really quiet, lethargic and ignored both my mother and I when we called him. He didn't eat that night either.

It was like he was "Rapid Cycling". So we had a Bipolar dog for a day.

My Brother's cat seems to have bipolar lol. One minute she's nice then the other she gets all grumpy and starts hissing growling, and clawing at us(except for my brother).
