How long should I have known someone to add them to Face Book as a friend?

hmm. if that person was introduced to you by a common friend, i usually would add them instantly. otherwise, maybe 1 week of chatting.

It doesn't really matter. You can add them even the same day you met them. Some people do that: they meet someone at a party, speak to them for a few minutes and add them to their friends list on the same night.

It's never happened to me. Probably because I'm a girl

I can't figure that out either... I've hardly added anyone unless they ask to be added.

If you've talked to someone a few times on friendly terms, then wait a few days before adding them. Adding them the same night you first met them may seem a little too eager.

Yeah, I've done this. But only if we got on well. If I didn't feel any connection at all, or if we only exchanged a couple of brief sentences (such as "What's up?" "Nothing." "That's cool. Do you come here often?" "Yeah a bit." "Cool. See ya." "Bye."), then I don't bother. Usually if someone seems to like me they ask me as they're leaving if I have Facebook. I sometimes do the same thing, although not as often.
