I find myself calling my little Wheaten, Chico 'Baby' a lot because he's cute. Does anybody else call their dogs 'Baby'?

Ha ha!! !!
I do call my favorite cat "my baby" and other terms of endearment. Our others three cats are just pests.

Sadly I lost my dog to Cancer one week after her thirteenth birthday back in May and miss her dreadfully every day. Our whole family used to refer to her as 'Bella baby' but often animals are another family member. I know my parents dog is like another child although he's far more spoilt than I seem to remember we were as children

I don't have any dogs, but I sometimes call my ferrets "baby"-like nicknames. Here's a list of some of them and which ferret it is/was (Azrael, Arielle, or Gracie [who we had to put to sleep]):

  • Baby McGravy (Azrael)
  • Baby Grace (Gracie)
  • Baby Face (Gracie)
  • Baby Boy (Azrael)
  • Baby Gwaych (Gracie)
  • Baby Rael (Azrael)
  • Baby Azra (Azrael)

There may also be others I've used, but those are all that I can remember right now. Here are some of their other nicknames:

  • Azra (Azrael)
  • Grace (Gracie)
  • Gwaych (Gracie)
  • Arie (Arielle)
  • Girly (Gracie)
  • Girly Girl (Gracie)
  • Rael (Azrael)
  • Real Rael (Azrael)
  • Boy (Azrael)
  • Little Girl (Arielle and Gracie)
  • Large Boy (Azrael)

I call Casey "baby face" all the time. I only call her by her name when I need her to come to me or when she is in trouble.

I call my cats 'fuzzy monsters' and 'fuzzy butts' and 'honey' and 'baby' and 'sweet girl/boy' and that sort of thing - tends to make people nervous when they are over doing things like installing my DSL (which is, finally, working and is wonderful! I usually spend at least an hour and a half online and here I am almost done and I've been on 20 minutes!)

I sometimes call Arielle "sweet girl", too.
