I'm trying to decide upon my classes for next semester. So far, I've narrowed it down to these:

Definite:
1. PSYC 2750: Introduction to Measurement and Statistics
2. GRMN 2090: Intermediate German I

Still deciding/exploring/researching:
3. PSYC 3610: Independent Reading Course
or
ANSO 1080: Human Evolution
4. ART 2110: Figure Drawing I
or
ART 2610: Printmaking Introductory

Both of the art classes I have to get permission for and the Psych Independent Reading Course I have to inquire about with a professor to see if she thinks it would be too heavy a load alongside Statistics. If she says "yes" then I will take Human Evolution instead.

For those of you who have semester/trimester classes, what are you going to take next???

Okay. Revision (and hopefully I've got 'em right this time):

1. GRMN 2090-01: Intermediate German I (MWF @ 10:00am-10:50am)

2. ART 1210-01: 2-D Design (MWF @ 1:00pm-2:50pm)
or
2. ART 2110-01: Figure Drawing (TRF @ 1:00pm-2:50pm) prefered

3. BIOL 1040-01: Human Genetics (R @ 5:30pm-8:30pm)

4. PSYC 3610-01: Independent Psychology Reading Course (time to be decided)

There. I think I got 'em now. :D

I typically don't worry about it until the last minute
But these two courses are required for my major next semester
ME 205: Advanced Mechanical Design (I'm taking normal Mechancial Design right now, I don't think this course will be very fun)
ME 213: Mechanical Systems

Then I have at least two courses where I can take whatever the hell I want! I have to make an actual decision for once! I'm not sure how I feel about that really...

Decision? 8O 8O 8O

Well, I wanted to take Intro to Measurement and Statistics this coming semester but then I realized that the particular section I wanted to take (with a particular professor) only has an 8 week cram course. I don't want to do Statistics in half a semester. I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid.

The other professor who teaches the full semester class I have heard is brand new this semester and isn't a good teacher (yet) at all. Another student says she teaches like she doesn't know what she's talking about, hemming and hawing and correcting herself. And her students have had a hard time getting the material down because she doesn't present it well enough.

So I'm going to put off Statistics until this other professor (who also happens to be my advisor) gets back from his semi-sabatical and take his course or see if the other half-semester professor teaches a full semester course at some time.

But I need to take it soon.

Statistics.... :D :D :D I love Statistics.

Here's my tentative schedule for next quarter, since Portland State goes by quarters:

Span 302 - Third Year Spanish: Writing and Grammar
Ling 390 - Intro to Linguistics
PS 422 - Constitutional Law

And either:
PS 387 - Politics and Fiction (which may be academic suicide but looks fun nonethelesS)
or
PS 426 - Politics of the News

The joys of being a Political Science major...

I'm only high school, but my class schedule for next semester: Chem AP, English, Econ honours, TA (teacher's assistant), Creative Writing and Calligraphy. That should be fun. :)

So I've been looking for what I can take for my other 2 or 3 courses and the following look sort of interesting to me...

Computer Science 170
(Now on the one hand I hear that its a very good idea for engineers to have rudimentary programming knowledge, on the other hand I hear that this is only a JavaScript course. I've forgotten most of the very basic coding I picked up here & there, but stil, maybe I should try something higher up?)

Studies in a Director: Scorsese
Entrepeneurship in Technology
Discrete Math
Elementary Astrophysics

Courses that I am looking at but not very seriously:

Godzilla
History of Rock Music

So, I dunno, any engineers here who'd like to talk about this?

Let me know if you learn anything cool in logic class. Right now, I'm taking a class on apologetics for my school's required religious class. It's pretty cool. :)

Well I'm doing from December to Feburary an distance subject called Contract Law. Next semester on campus starting in March I'm doing.

In Australian universities you are much more limited in what you can choose as subjects. Some courses have no choice at all, while the one I'm doing offers 8 electives out of 24 subjects, which 3 have to offered by the school of Law and Management.

Introductory Management Accounting
Introductory Statistics for Business
Microeconomics
Intermediate Microeconomics

or

Earth Science, however I think it could clash with other subjects.
