I've notived a lot of people talk as if they stim when they're haappy and/or stressed, etc. I stim when I'm bored or nervous, but never when happy but sometimes when excited.

Sometimes I stim when I think or look of something I don't feel comfortable touching. I've only just noticed my stimming when I saw things on this site about it, so I don't know what other emotions I have when I stim yet.

I stim when I'm stressed or bored. The boredom stims are a lot less harmless than the stressed stims.

Stimming in the morning, stimming in the evening, even at supper time...

For larger stims like rocking or flapping, I stim when I am anxious or excited. For smaller stims, anytime really.

I think that's the same with me as well; I don't think I actually have any stims that tie to the emotion that I have at a present moment.

For me it's mostly stress or overload.

Usually in the evenings, soon as I get back. More the more stressed I was during the day. I also stim when in crowds sometimes or when concentrating.

I stim whenever I come home from a stressful day or when I'm really anguished over something.....which is constantly. Whatever the stim is usually depends on if I'm alone and it's something that's only acceptable in private or if I can't get a moment by myself and have to do something more subtle.

When I feel that I'm being treated like a ret*d, or that I don't have enough chores to do, because somebody else did them all, and it seems like there's no light at the end of the Tunnel. I'm fine, the rest of the time.

I stim constantly! When im bored, when im deep in thought staring at my computer screen. Im always bouncing my feet, or druming with my fingers. Some people get realy realy anoyed with the foot thing. but as soon as i stop focusing my thoughts on not doing it, it starts up again. LOL. I do a bunch of other wierder stims too.
