Is this an aspi thing ,or just a me thing?
Uh ... you have the White Queen as your picture ... ha-ha I find that kind of funny wanting to know about friends.

Actually thats galadriel from lord of the rings.
The same actress played the white witch in The Chronicles of Narnia . I can see where you would make that mistake.

LOL if it was here that would be really funny though lolol

Frosty, you said that you get two warm and fuzzy sometimes, what exactly do you mean by that?

When I think about it, i've never had any friends or looked for one. There's always been co-workers or classmates... but never anyone that I'd consider or feel the need to hang around with or talk or do something with.

I no longer have any interest in friends. I wrote a post about this recently and got a couple of snarky comments. I guess I would have to agree with Tim...we are all different. Over time, I have adapted and learned how to properly engage in social niceties, idle chit chat, and what not...I would just rather not. Anyway...Just wanted to let you know you were not the only one who feels this way.

Well, that's good to know. You won't get any snarkiness with me; I feel the same way. It's kind of hard to feel this way because society tends to have negative things to say about people who don't have friends and people who don't want to have friends. It's kind of tough, and I sometimes do want to have friends. I have one who I talk to sometimes, but after awhile, it just tends to get to be too much. Unfortunately, I think I am going to have to make some friends with other moms so that my son can have some friends as he grows up, and I'm kind of dreading that.

I find friends to be alot of trouble.

I had lots of friends up until four months ago.

I just gave up on alot of people when I found out I didn't have to try too hard to fit in this world and I just got sick of it.

I have 2 close friends and that is en nuf.

One or two friends is enough for me, and I don't even stay in contact with them much. I prefer talking online through email. In person it's tough and awkward. I think I'm probably a bad friend because I rarely put in the effort. I don't like getting too close to people because I wind up letting them down and I don't want them to get to know me.

I've always preferred being alone anyway, saves me and them a lot of stress.

If only it were easy to find the right kind of friends. The main reason it's such a strain for me is that I have to do all the work. I need to figure out what's wrong with them and contort myself to fit into their hallucinations. They don't need to do anything at all. Yes, I get tired and need a break. And yes, I get disgusted sometimes and give up for a while.

Well I had one friend in primary school and that was is it basically until I was 25. I got friends via my relationship with an NT but after this ended I moved to another country.
My ex claimed I was burning my friendships by not staying contact. I disagreed and for some time I was writing lots of long emails about myself to these friends, but I didn't get lots of long emails back at all. I didn't understand this because I was keeping up the contact so well? I stopped doing this because it just costs me way too much time and energy. Maybe they were not waiting for long emails about me?
Where I live now I can say for myself I have one actual friend. He decided to become my friend and I let him. I see him more or less once a week. The rest are all contacts or better mates. Every so often I 'work' together with a mate because I like him/her and also very important I like the things we are doing then too. Most of the time in a one to one situation.
