I was looking through my medical records and I found somthing of interest.
I was reading through my psychological evaluation I hat at age 14 and found that I was diagnosed with AS at this age.

But it dident say diagnosed it was put in a catigory that says this

DSM-IV DIAGNOSTIC IMPRESSION

AXIS 1 asperger's disorder
Obsessive compulsive disorder


Does this mean I WAS diagnosed with aspergers disorder , or were they just giving me there impression.

I know it is a silly question but I need to be shure on this because my father keeps telling me I was never diagnosed with it. But I'm looking at this sheet of paper and I think what its saying is that I WAS diagnosed with it.

Too me it seems like the doctor thought you had/have Aspergers. Which is pretty substantial I think.

I read down further and it said diagnosed with aspergers.

My dads nuts he tries to brainwash me to think everythings my fault. But I dont buy it.

A DR's name should be listed on the report, & they should be a Consultant level 70. Phone them up & ask them if you have been a "patient" of theirs. Ask them if they can register people with AS. Ask them if they can diagnose other neurological conditions (which they should if they are win). Not all DR's are. Ask them what qualifications they have & how long they've been in practice. As your their patient they must provide this information. If it does not sound like they've spent a lifetime winning at Psychiatry & Human Sciences (specifically Autistic Research), try & get a 2nd opinion.
