Hey there... My sis just sent me a DVD about Neurofeedback(NF) (same thing as Bio-feedback I think), which included case studies for treating things like ADHD, PTSD, Autism . She is a pratitioner that is pushing NF to help with ADD/ADHD/AS and other stuff too. So, I'm curious... Is the 'Meetup' about NF? Can you send some more details about the 'Meetup'. It has been awhile since I posted to WP....

The meeting is at the house of a psychologist who learns about the mind, not a psychiatrist who treats people. I think she has Aspergers, but I believe she welcomes all people from the autistic spectrum. You can call to find out, but you don't have to be an Aspie to attend.

Thanks... Doubt that I will be traveling to LA for this... I'm in Seattle... and I know my 'mind' quite well. I humored my sis by trying-out the Bio feedback gear... and I was hoping for help with the distractable part (ADD) , not to shift me out of theta. I'm still going to try again though...

The facilitator happens to be a scientist, but I know Aspies who are scientists but not facilitators. It's not a place to find out about your mind, but to meet others like you. Anybody can invite autistics to their house on this website, and if you want to organize or attend one for ADD, look at http://www.meetup.com/search/?keywords=add&jsCountry=us to find one in your town.
