its a gem quality fire agate, i'll be putting into a ring. i bought it from a man that deals directly with the deer creek and slaughter mountain mines

That's beautiful. I'd put it in a special bag and hang it around my neck.

I like the buffalo cave-paintings in Europe.

Tonka is apache for buffalo? I remember hearing that in Dances With Wolves.

Yes, it was Sioux. I always get the Native American tribes mixed up.

Last of the Mohicans and Dances With Wolves are wonderful movies. Not a beard in site either. ;)

Cool. 8) I forgot about your fire agate obsession. :) I need to move from PA. It's not a very good location for those interested in gems and rock-hounding. All we have here is ginseng. :roll:

thanks you guys. it looks like molten lava, its mostly red and green but it does have a small amount of purple and ornage in it. its fitting for name since its so marvelous. hell i might write a book on it, of course i'll be the only one reading it :wink:
