Are you a morning person, an afternoon/evening person, or a night owl? I'm definitely not a morning person and hate having to get up when I'm still feeling tired and achey. I remain tired all day, yawning, eyes falling shut, and unable to think about anything but going back to bed as soon as I get the things I need to do out of the way. I also require between 8 and 10 hours of sleep to function my best. Lately, I've had to make do with much less because my first alarm goes off at 6:45 A.M. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays now so that I can go to my community service and at 7:45 A.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays so that I can get ready for my first class then. My roommates are usually up until about 1:30 A.M., and I can't fall asleep with noise and light, so I am lucky if I get five hours of sleep a night.

I seem to be waking up consistantly every morning a bit before my alarm is set to go off (at 7:30 am). In that respect, I am a morning person; also in that I often get tired early in the evening. howveer some evenings I just can't unwind and can stay up past midnight. ((After which I still get up at the usualy time, but hate it a bit more.))

Left to my own devices, I'd probably become completely nocturnal. As it is on weekends I go to bed around 2, and un summers 3:30ish.
Unfortunately, some gang of idiots decided that it's a brilliant idea to start high school an hour before elementary school.

I know it's for school sports, but since I don't play any, I have no sympathy.

You want to drag me up at six so that track can run around at 2:30 in the afternoon?
Why not just start school at 11 and let the athletes get up at six if they want?

For some reason I can no longer sleep more than about 4-5 hours at a time so I am either up really late or I get up really early. Of course by around 5:00 PM I take my toll for that.

Yes. I'm a morning person. My alarm clock (internal because I have no need for a real one) goes off just before 5 am, and I crash about 10 pm.

I may rise, but I refuse to shine!! ! I don't willingly get up before 8:00 and I naturally stay awake untill about midnight. It takes considerable effort on my part to break that cycle. Fortunately, my employer lets me work those hours. 8)

I'm a Morning Person. I'm out taking Chico for a walk at 5:30 in the Morning. I know that it's not safe for anybody to be out in the Dark, that early. The thing is that I'd rather take him for walks in the Dark, when the kids are sleeping in the Mornings and when they're doing Homework or having Dinner in the Evenings. I'll also take him for a little walk at 11:00 in the Morning. I also do my Fun Stuff on the Internet in the Morning Hours, every second day, when I'm not doing chores.

I'm tired ANY hour of the day or night! The effort of just, 'funtioning' tires me out.

I am not a morning person at all.

Monday through Thursday, my alarm goes off at 6:30am, and I finally drag myself out of bed at 7:00am. Fridays and Sundays, I get up at about 10:00am-11:00am. Saturdays, I have to get up at 8:30am. Every night I attempt to force myself to fall asleep at about 1:00am-2:00am.

If it was up to me, I would get up at about 12:00pm-1:00pm every day and go to sleep at about 3:00am-4:00am.

These days I have to get up at 6am and it is a nightmare.

Back when I had no responsibilities etc, midday was my preferred time for getting out of my pit. Who needs mornings anyway?
On a good day, I'd make it as far as 2 or 3pm before stirring. Then I could stay up all night - my favourite time! 8)

I can't stand the daytime hours. I don't feel fully awake until 11 PM.

I'm only a morning person if you consider that Sunrise is my cue to go to bed.

In tenth grade that was my sleep pattern.
Get up at six, go to school.
Come home, sleep for four hours.
Get up, do homework, browse the internet, go to sleep in the early morning.
It was like having a lot of mini weekends.
The only reason I no longer do this is because I need to walk while it's still light out for my PE ALPs. I still do this on Mondays and Tuesdays though.

Am a night owl, always have been. School was awful, bc. of early hours. Now able to sleep as needed-don't have a schedule at all. Sunrise makes me sleepy, but nighttime can be darkly unsettling. So I don't sleep any regular hours-on average, over the span of a month, I follow a 25-hour clock. I go to sleep and wake up 1 hour later than the previous day/night. It can be very random-seeming & unpredictable, on a day-to-day basis. In general, I get sleepy 18 hours after I woke up, though it's difficult to fall asleep even when I'm tired. Sleep whenever I can manage it, bc. I feel restless & worried & uncomfortable intentionally attempting to go to sleep.
