i find this part of the forum offensive...

mainly, i feel i've been discriminated THAT MUCH by society that i don't want to come onto a likeminded forum (about asperger's) and find a similar amount of seperation based solely on X and Y chromosomes.

it may be because many many NT women screwed me over during my teenage years...it may be because i'm a transvestite and see gender as meaningless and mallable...it may because i see any person, who doesn't question societies arbitrary gender roles as a complete TOOL...but i find the seperation of sexes/genders in this world distressing and offensive...

look at me as perhaps a male feminist..although i hate the word feminist...let us call it "equalism" please!

i would certainly never ask for a "men only" forum on this board...but i imagine, being that we are a group with genetically similar minds, a bond THAT GOES FAR BEYOND WHAT GENITALIA WE HAVE...that we would be able to discuss our issues without the need for dividing us by sexes...i hope this part of the forum is removed soon.

oh, and just to prove this point, whilst what you'd consider "straight"...i'd be happy to exchange makeup/dressing tips with any feminine minded people on the forum (whether they be male or female in sex bits)

Yeah, I'm not a woman but I happened to stumble upon this post, and I think the forum is more for questions and discussions that guys can't usually/don't usually feel comfortable answering. Like the best brand of tampons, or how it feels for a girl to lose her virginity. There's certain things that are different for women, I've never thought of forums like these as discrimination.

yeah, i quite like biology, talk of vagina's wouldn't disgust me in any way...

i think it's just the simple fact it's called the "women's forum" as opposed to the "female forum" i'd certainly acknowledge the biological difference in that case...an words mean alot to me, you know, the hypersensitivity the aspies sometimes get....plus, i hate being called a "man" or a "guy" because theyre two words associated with war...pestilence...and f***ing people over...

maybe it's just me...i've been discriminated against all my life on every conceivable level (apart from race, thank god...) and didn't need to see some kind of (slightly) discrimatory section in an aspie forum....because there is the slight attitude of "MEN...BEHAVE!" attached to this section...and personally i'm offended by that. x

Many boards have women's forums ... I read that men dont post a lot in men's forums when they are provided. The last board I was a member of closed down their men's forum because men didnt seem to like talking about their feelings, and men's issues, and there was so little traffic in the forum that there was no point in having it.

Its posts like the one you made in the "where males stand in this forum" that make limiting male involvement here necessary.

Men like to post things like that, belittle women's concerns, or otherwise rant, making it impossible for woman to talk about woman topics

Okay, I'd like to correct my last post. I should have said there are certain things that are different for females. So, basically the OP doesn't mind a forum like this, he just would prefer a different title? (I say he assuming the poster still identifies as a man, because he said he was a transvestite, which is a man who dresses as a woman but doesn't necessarily identify as a woman, to my understanding)

yeah, i think that changing the words to a "female" forum would make it far less offensive as it's a simple biological thing. i understand that many females here are against the steretypical roles that society puts "women" in anyway so itd help break down the barriers.x
