I finally met someone wonderful...

The title really says it all.

I started playing an online game, Mabinogi, almost two months ago, and sometime around my second week I met the most amazing girl. At first, I took notice of the small glimpse of her personality revealed in how she dealt with people, especially those random idiots who hit on virtual women in games, and I found her very interesting and appealing. Not long after we first met in the game, she disappeared for a week, but when she came back we had the most fascinating conversation I'd ever had up to that point. Since then, we have talked online every day for several hours, and on the phone an average of four hours every night for two weeks now.

She's absolutely wonderful. We talk about anything and everything, and she's even making an effort to understand my "aspietude" by researching online, reading the WP forums, and she even went so far as to check out books on Asperger's Syndrome from the library to learn all she can.

We're still very early into our relationship, but we're both hoping for a very close, lifelong relationship together when the time is right. In many of our conversations, we fantasize about what our life together would be like, and even about our children (We even have names picked out!)

I can't remember ever being this happy.

GREAT Take things slow would be my advice, I hope this is the start of a fanastic and lasting realtionship for you.

Regardless of the answer though, good for him! I disagree with the idea that an online or telephone relationship would be an illusion. If both feel it is sincere, then nobody should try to say otherwise. And hopefully it will not remain an online thing, I wish them all the best now and also at the point they are really together without a computer or phone line as third party.

No, we haven't met in person yet. Yes, we have exchanged pictures and she's sent me a few videos (nothing naughty!), and I think she's really cute.

As for meeting in an MMO, I wasn't even looking for someone in a game, but I suppose that fits with the adage that you'll find love when you stop looking for it.

We're only 400 miles apart, and planning on meeting someday in the foreseeable future.
