Ok so I'm twenty three. Yet I still find myself liking toys. Not all toys mind you, but I like a lot of things meant for nine year old boys or higher. Thins like model rockets, R/C cars, water guns and Nerf toys. Even action figures and what have you. I have a collection of about fifteen toy lightsabers… although I use the term collection lightly. I have them more because I think they are cool and to play with.

I also like a lot of science things and kits intended for children and teens. Like building your own volcano or a weather kit/etc. Heck, I still like going on the swings at playgrounds

I know enough not to bring it up with other folks and what not, but I enjoy playing with such toys at times. My parents don’t like it when I’ll go out and buy a nerf gun, but I personally don’t get why some women have 100 pair of shoes or jewelry or whatever. I don’t really see a difference in collecting nerf guns than shoes, if it is something you like and it doesn’t become all that you buy.

My point is... do you still play with/buy toys if you are an ault/older? I think a lot of it comes from not being as mature mentaly/etc as people my own age. Then again maybe I'm an odd duck. Obviously toys aren't all I buy as I like a lot of other things more “age appropriate” (books/etc) but like now... I'm saving up for a nerf gun.

I dont see why I shouldnt, I have played with my 7 year old bro with my old toys, one of the fun things I did with him was we set up all the toy soldiers up and fight each other.

The crappy safety swings they make now pinch your butt!
Have lots of kids & then grandkids! But it doesn't look good if you won't share your toys with them.

I never got over liking toys and think that it's sort of unfortunate that some people do. Being playful and curious is a good thing.

Then also, some toys I only really learned to use in adulthood, having not figured them out as a child, or not fully figured them out.

I see a lot of adults of all sorts play with toys, but it's only adults with developmental disabilities who tend to get stigmatized for it.

I don't like the swings as much as I used to, because I get more motion-sick than I used to, but if I didn't I would still like them definitely. I would also like climbing trees and other things if my body could take that anymore either (which normally it can't).

I have become very drawn to toys in later years, though I don't actually "play" with them. I collect American Girl dolls and accessories and Barbie and Bears dressed in outfits. I was very much a grown-up as a child, didn't play at all but am seeming to digressing with age a bit, in terms of my interests. I also prefer kids and family movies that are light-hearted and non-aggressive, light-hearted comedy and animation movies that aren't too violent or action packed. I don't know if there is a connection there with autism or the loss of my childhood or a combination of the two.

I collect My Little Ponies. I don't necessarily sit around "playing" with them by definition. (No role playing or anything) but I think the fact that I collect them at all counts a little towards playing so that's what I voted on the poll. I also love barbies, but I keep them all in the original boxes.

I do photo comics with My Little Ponies and Littlest Pet shop. I guess you could consider it playing. Play, take a picture. Play, take a picture. I will always cuddle and sleep with my favorite stuffed animal (I'm actualy holding him right now as I type).

I love having the opportunity to play with kids when they have toys. It's so much fun to play superhero and villain with my nephew. I saved a lot of my toys (they're in the attic, all except for my "best friend", my CPK I named Lemonade, who is under my bed). So yeah, I still like toys.

I never liked vdo games and don't get attracted by them, sometimes some kids invited me and if they were interesting (not the violent man hunting kind of thing but more snowboarding or something that triggers of intellect pursuit) I would enjoy.
Unless I can consider my laptop a toy on which I design digital art in photoshop, I am sweet with it.

I never was into sports or contact sports, but toyed until I was 15 wiht figurines.

I think I have been ridiculed so much in playing with toys by adults that I repressed it...

Toys are great I'm 43 and I still get toys under the Christmas tree every year and I "collect" SW Figures, Speed Racer stuff, Transformers and even DnD stuff. I still play video games (and make my own) have nerf and traditional dart guns, and few Lightsabers for my son and I to pound each other with (because who doesn't want to recreate the Episode V scene between Luke and his Pops) .

My dad had a cousin who kept all his toys and collected toys from his era (all tin wind up toys and more) I used to wander his garage (his collectors area) looking at all the stuff he had. I loved him he was funny, happy and a great guy and he showed me that you don't have to stop liking toys just because you "grow" up.

I worked for Microsoft for a few years and other software companies and quite honestly a day didn't go by when we wouldn't break the tension and long days by breaking out the Nerf guns and having a mini battle in the hall ways.

Don't sweat the perception that comes with playing with toys, instead you can find others who enjoy toys, games etc as you do and remember to enjoy life as it passes.

Looking at them makes me feel happy and that's why I like them. I have tried, but with my hands, I don't really seem to know what to do with it.

Model railroading.

I get to play with sensors, actuators, lighting & sound effects, remote control, as well as "Toy Trains"!

I still like playing with my Warhammer 40k minitures, if I had opponents i would still play my yu-gi-oh and later on i want to collect those Final Fantasy VII figurines that I have seen in some shops. I don't care what other people think, as long as I'm happy and having fun the world is not around me. :D
