Venom's pretty famous aren't they? the "countess bathory" band. I know quite a few people who like them.

even though they started black metal they arnt that famous. kind of like possessed who started death metal and they are very underatted

Well, maybe not in Colorado, but here in the the UK they are. I'm not even a metal fan and I know them!

Kyuss wasn't bad. QOTSA ain't too bad either

Venom sucked in my opinion, exept for Countess Bathory.

I wasn't really into the Possessed either, but thought that Larry Lalonde and Les Claypool were pretty good in Primus.

QOTSA came first in JJJ's Hottest 100 poll about 2-3 years ago with No One Knows. The poll is the biggest of its kind in the world and gets about 450,000 voters. They had like 5 songs on the list, so I'm pretty sure they're appreciated here in Oz at least.

Weezer don't as much credit as they deserve either IMHO, although they have had a fair bit of commercial success - just not enough!

Yeah Weezer are a great band. There are heaps of great Australian bands that deserve lots of success, but seem to be restricted mostly by their nationality. Too many to list here.

Queens of the Stonage arent underrated? they have tons of fans dont they? Well I have all their music... *cough* arrhh, I like The Butterfly Effect though I guess their not that unknown.. Wolfmother... but they're not that unknown either.. So arhh, yeah..
