Not long - you mean real live fire?

Have some great old pics of me blowing some
really big fireballs with lighterfluid, always liked
to play with fire

I use that side-to-side trick as Beenthere does, with something cold to drink or eat nearby. I just had a couple of fireballs earlier today.

Not for a very long time. they usally stop burning when they enter :P
