Everyone is always trying to find the reason to be of asperger's.

Maybe it is that we are just sleeping too much!
:D

Just curious...
How many hours of sleep do you get everynight?

And when you were younger?

Doctors say that 7-8 is how much you need.

Always 5-6 hours. That is my actual sleep. I know by watching the alarm clock's display when I go to sleep and when I open my eyes again.

If I sleep longer, I become physically ill, and my mind just doesn't want to start.

On very mentally challenging days, I need about one hour, which my family used to call zoning out. And which to me is like a period in which my mind is doing only one thing where I prefer reading.

If I don't get that one those days, I can just as well not sleep.

How much sleep I get varies all the time.
There is no constant for me.

I don't sleep all at once. I take one or two naps instead.

It differs but nowadays or lately I only get about 5-6 hours. Wish I slept a bit better 'cos I need more. But hey....

Good advice is welcome.

I have always needed more sleep than others around me to feel great and to function adequately. I picked 7-8, but when I am running a lot I need a nap, so more like 8-1/2. My nt husband needs 5 hours at most with a few 15 minute naps here and there. This pattern hasn't varied since childhood. Long ago I read something about his pattern being more common in night people, as he is, and mine more common in morning people, which I am with a vengeance.

5-6. Less if I fall asleep on the couch watching TV. Then I go to bed and wonder why I can't fall asleep right away.

1-4 I need to sleep longer but it takes me hours to get to sleep and then its hard staying asleep. I can't switch my brain off, or at least calm it down enough for me to be able to sleep properly. Maybe it's the ADHD?

I usually sleep for a long time, with an occassional weekend nap-session (which then screws me over).

I'm always drowsy when I wake up. I don't know why, but my guess is that I wake up during the night.

Once upon a time, after drinking a 20-or-16pointwhatever oz Vault and some Reisen candies (they're chocolate carmels covered in chocolate)... I was never able to sleep that night and pissed off tons of people before I actually fell asleep the next night. I hated those days.

4-6, and I need 8+ to feel good.

My head hurts all the time and I can no longer think. I am in constant pain and want to die. I want to quit my job so that I can live in a cave and get some peace and quiet at night.

All I can think about during the day is how much I want to sleep
All I can think about during the night is how much I want to die

The roof in my room is a drum. There is noise of over 65 decibels in the room at night due to the person above walking around. I have hypersensitivity to noise, so such sound is torture.

I also feel tortured at work with the building making loud snaps an average of every 6 seconds.

I tried earplugs, but that causes even more horrible pain throughout my entire body, much worse than the way I'm already falling apart due to the lack of sleep and work stress.

Sleep is the one (and only one) thing I refuse to deny myself. I need 8 hours or I am no good the following day.
