Why don't we have one of these?! It's an essential part of our lives! (next to cats) Post pics of your favourite shiny stuff!!

I'll start. First off is richardbenson's hopefully-coming-soon gemstone. Enigmatic I find!

This second one is a CG Image I did. Simply get a coloured gem and put a light inside it!

This final one is quite special to me. Me and Amanda both have one of these. We look into it when we feel lonely. The necklace in the center I also gave her.

oh well thank you kbabz, richard funfact- fire agate is a refractive gemstone, the mineral limonite coats the layers of agate and makes it "refract" much like oil spilled on the driveway and when you spay it with the water hose, so does light passing though the stone that it does that.

and theres no mail today

I haven't taken down the Xmas decorations for two years now, because I am so attached to the twinkling sparkling shininess of the silver tinsel, which I have distributed artistically  :D around our living-room, along with lots of little red and white wooden figures, and small gleaming red berries, ( fake ), scattered about in the tinsel.

Also two pendant crystals on a mirror, a hanging made of very small circles of mirror on a long thread, a few silver-ribbon stars, ( nominally for presents ), stuck in clusters on doors and windows, and the white christmas tree with all its beautiful gemlike chocolates, ( which we never eat; they look too lovely on the tree  ), in shiny pink, blue, silver, and turquoise foil-wrappers.

Yes, I love the light, the brilliance, that shiny things have, but mainly silver, and definitely not gold.
