Do any of you become bored easily? If I have nothning to do, I sometimes come here to check for new posts to read and possibly reply to, but there haven't been too many of those lately.

I find that, if I'm too bored, I can't study or do homework. It's almost like I have a fun quota that must be above a certain level to be able to do productive work.

I have quite a lot of interests, so i don't become that often bored. But sometimes i do and i just hate it.
Like you said, i can't do anything if i'm bored. Than i just don't have the energy to do it.

If i get bored there's only one thing to do for me, wait till it passes.

Boredom is one of those things that hits me quite easily. Sometimes the situation will compound itself for me by the fact that I'm bored out of my mind, but I have no desire to do anything.

During my grade schools 6th grade camp out (october 9-11, 1991 - an event that seems to hold the key to my AS DX), we had one event where a teacher came in and told us the story of the "green rope". This was a very imaginitve story and didn't sit well with my train of thought at the time. Thus I quickly lost interest and began to space out. It was the most agonizing 90 minutes of my life as the story draged on and on.

The thing for me is that I don't enjoy solitary activities. I like doing things with other people, but I have remarkably bad social skills. It's quite the problem, really.

I try to keep myself occupied with my interests and obsessions. I do get bored sometimes, but I manage and cope with it most of the time.

Same for me: if I am bored I will do nothing.
I am usually often bored, but now it doesn't last long. Before it could last 1 week or even more. And when I am bored I get moody.

I get bored watching television, listening to music, watching nature, movies or playing games... Not all the time, but more frequently than I think is normal. I often switch off in competitive games, because I lose track of the point of playing... I don't seem to always enjoy an activity for the fun of just doing it - I'm always wondering about the end, and if I decide the end isn't that interesting, or is kind of pointless, then I often switch off. Things like kicking a ball around a park or swinging, drive me nuts, unless I can find some rhythm in it. I love reading, but even then, I often find myself reading too fast, simply to reach the end.

I think the comorbid nature of inattention in ASD leads to chonic boredom problems.

If I had nothing to do, I am quite sure I would get extremely bored. However, I don't have enough time in each day to do all the things I have to do let alone all the things I want to do!

I NEVER get bored... there's so much to do in the world and to read about... and I can zone out for hours at a stretch. 8O

I used to have a problem with boredom, but I've developed so many interests over
the years that I usually find something to fall back on.Even just reading newspapers
keeps me occupied

I think one factor that people who claim they rarely get bored are not considering , is the notion if you do what you want to do its generally not boring. But what you want to do and what you need to be doing are often different.

My mind is almost always busy with something: playing videogames, posting, reading, drawing swords, thinking about my interests. If I don't have something to do, my mind begins to reload events from the past, next I'm in my own world without noticing it.

That happens me all the time, except when I'm anxious.

Become bored too easily? Totaly..

Thing is, the things things that actualy keep my intrest are too much effort.
So rather than doing fun stuff, I'm killing time.
