Hello all. I'm making a presentation about what it's like to have aspergers, and I was wondering if you guys could give me some of your own quotes about what it's like to be on the spectrum. Thanks!

"Hey, where's the user's manual for life?"

"Some apprentice electrician wired up my head strangely."

My personal AS mantra is...

A fish is not a broken bird .

If that is a bit to abstract...the point is that you can''t judge how well a fish swims if you are only focused on the fact that it isn't flying. but some aspies were offended that I thought they were fish and not birds 8O ...so...OK you want to be the birds this time

"A bird is not a broken fish" works just as good

Is there really a connection between connective tissue disorders and autistic behaviors? I have been checked for Marfan's before starting an exercise program years ago. All the tests came back negative.

"I feel akin to a bright light light shining within a dark globe."

- meaning that there is quite a bit going on in my head and I have a lot of great ideas, but I am generally unable to effectively communicate them to others. It is like my mind is a bright and powerful light bulb, but my AS has put a dark globe over it, thus very little of the light can escape to be seen by others.
