I have SAD and during this time of the year it effects Me much.

I drink more beer at this time of year.

And hate living life at this time of year.

It seems to get worse every year.

I even get more suicidual during this time of year too.

This time of year bothers Me much.

Sometimes I do not know what to do in the end.

Just getting tired of SAD getting worse everything right now.

Every year worse and worse in the end.

I sometimes just don't know what to do in the end.

I hate winter too. Tanning booths and space heaters help.

I've been down lately, and I always seem to be, at this time of year. At first, I blamed it on the holidays, but now they are gone and I'm still depressed. Maybe it is SAD?

Have you considered one of those light-panels?

And as hard as this may sound, it might be time for a location change.

I have seasonal depression and have never been able to get use to the days being shorter.

It doesn't even snow much here so there's really nothing to forward to in the winter except icestorms and frozen feral cats....

Not really much for winter either, however after watching cnn and seeing the weather forecast for some parts of the world as low as -48C. I know I am lucky that our winter's are nowhere near that cold.

I'm used to the cold because I was born in late winter and the 100th anniversary of New York City Blizzard.

Protip: to mitigate the effects of SAD, move as far away from Canada as possible.

I like winter, I think its pretty and fun, I love skiing, skating, slideing....
I don't however like shoveling snow and the poor driving conditions.

I have one of those lights but it is small and compact and works just as well as one of those large panels. It does make a difference.

South Dakota would be very difficult for me. Park City at least has ski resorts that I can use medicinally. Next week will be going to Naples, Florida for a week for additional help with SAD. Round trip tickets are very cheap right now. Temps in low 80's by next week. Yahoooo!

I can relate to Kev as I have gone through most of his ways of coping. Learning what SAD is and putting into use all the suggested ways to relieve the condition is all we can do. For those 'Down Under', Autumn is coming up. Sometimes I view your beach webcams so I can remind myself what summer is like.

Good luck Kev! PM me if you want additional support.

I'm the same. Winter sucks. I live in the UK and it hovers at about 45f. Never quite cold enough to snow, yet cold enough to make you feel miserable. It's really damp too, and everyone get's cold and flu. Pretty grim time of year. I find myself just wanting to move away. Summer is awesome though, just try to focus on that, we're past the halfway mark!
