Has anyone seen the uncyclopedia page for Aspergers? Do you find this to be offensive or funny (granted its meant to be funny)? Are you able to see the humor in it? Just curious what everyone thinks of it.

Personally, I found it amusing, but then I'm highly self-deprecating. The now infamous Encyclopedia Dramatica article made me giggle too and it's a whole lot worse. Though I do see why some people would get their knickers in a twist over it (more so the ED one). Which makes it all the more hilarious given that it turns the article into a self-fulfilling prophesy of sorts.

I careless about the article. That website is meant to be offensive and it's hard to offend me with humor because it's not serious.

I find misrepresentation from "legitimate" news organizations to be more offensive.

This, pretty much.

I also don't think Uncyclopedia is funny... at all.

Me neither. It's one of those things that tries to be funny but winds up looking stupid.

Because NTs eat up their lies while uncyclopedia is absent from the populous.

True dat.

Like any comedy website where anyone can post information, some of it is funny and some of it sucks. I remember awhile back someone posted the uncyclopedia page for Alaska, and the page as it existed then was pretty clever.

Quote:
Land Ownership and Protected Lands
The northeast corner of Alaska is covered by the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), a nineteen million acre preserve that is the home of a single bear.

If you take that site seriously, your missing the point.

To be honest, I just feel sorry for the people who wrote it. If they have to mock certain things to have a laugh their self esteem must be REALLY low. The article itself isn't funny or offensive to me. I can see the things that were supposed to be humorous but they just aren't...

I like Uncyclopedia, but alot of the jokes on the Asperger's page are mostly general Austism and mental retardation jokes. Its not up to their usual standards (like Kitten huffing), but there's a few chuckles here and there.

The page on NTS, though

I find that site funny, I was giggling all day about them articles. I like the NT one and the "asparagus" one, it is a comedy site after all.
