I just lost my cell phone while snowmobiling an I don't think I'll ever find it

I have trouble with misplacing or loosing things (keys, ipod, PSP, bluetooth headset, cell phone, remote control)

Does anyone else have similar troubles
Or any solutions

I tend to find 'a place' for everything. Glasses here, phone there. Saves time at least looking for them. Snowmobiling is pretty intense, so if you're having problems doing that, put sensitive and expensive equipment inside your coat (how are you going to hear a phone ringing while snowmobiling?...;), or at the lodge, if you have a secure place.

Instigate a 5 point check everytime you get up - even if you're not carrying all your items.

Wallet, Watch, Keys, Phone, Headset

It takes a while but eventually you get used to it.

I tend to lose stuff often, too...mainly cause my room's always messy, though. Usually...after it's been cleaned, i'll find the stuff that's missing. But...not always....

Like my favorite green hat....I think that hat may be lost forever, it doesn't even show a sign it COULD be in the house anymore, clean room or not....

Most of my lost stuff is from younger ages, though.

And, baah...at least that hat didn't have the best of memories attached to it........

I only do this when leaving the house or if I am out of the house and leaving an area I have sat down in. I slap all my pockets to check I have everything when I leave.
Physical activity means everything has to be in sealed pockets, tied on, or put in a pack.
