Anthony Bourdain an aspie, I think he was being snarky that day, and needed a smoke.
He is one of my favorite authors, and watch all his tv series.
I think he was telling the truth because aspies that are considered crypto-sensitive (those closet to being NT) can hold instant and long-lasting conversations with strangers with ease but as far as actual, enduring friendships are concerned, they just cop out. They usually stick with one pal for a whole lifetime. He mentioned that he actually had a co-morbid diagnosis. He is bi-polar as well as an aspie. I stuck around a bit after the crowd left and watched him from a hidden spot. He sat and actually drifted off to somewhere else without getting out of his seat.
I have an autistic relative who does that quiet often. I asked her once, "When you leave to go to your private world, where do you go?" Her answer is always the same. She says, "I have no idea what you're talking about."
BUT SHE REALLY GOES OUT THERE......somewhere. Any ideas??
