Hi everyone. I'm a 22 year old female from the UK. I've been reading the WP forums over the past couple of weeks. I'm not actually sure if I have AS or not but I've recently been investigating the possibility and WP has provided some useful information.

So yeah, I'm just introducing myself and saying that I'm grateful that a community such as WP exists where many people of different backgrounds can provide their own insight on certain topics.

Welcome.......I am VERY grateful that this planet exists. In just a few weeks I have LEARNED SO MUCH....and it is really a wonderful and helpful place.....to bounce ideas around, ask questions, get answers, and overall better understand the Asperger VIEW...and it has even helped me understand 'neurotypicals' better.....because of all the fabulous insights around here..........It has helped me be 'more accepting' of myself.......I was barely fifty when I first learned about Asperger's. All my life I KNEW I was different......and years ago I suspected I had autistic traits.......but there has been such a blossoming conversation in the last several years that learning and validating is so much easier. I remember when diagnosing my Rett Syndrome daughter back in the early nineties......even then, can you believe it......the only books on the public library shelves about autism were Kanner COLD MOTHER syndrome books. That was all. How things have changed, and FOR THE BETTER! Most of these folks around here are interesting and AMAZING! Every visit I learn something fascinating.

Best Wishes, Sola

Hi Duppy and welcome to the WP. There are a lot of excellent threads here to read about common traits we Aspies have. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
