How many of you work at a grocery store?

To start, I work at a grocery store, and used to enjoy it until we got a new assistant manager.

You've asked the right person.

I've worked/still work at a grocrey store.

It's very much a mixed bag. I hated working with the customers so I went on third shift, but I got stuck on second eventually. Boy was that ever fun.

Working with other people.... Depending upon who they are, hell or heaven. The only people I ever got along with really well were the other people who had their own mental issues. I'm fairly sure I've worked at one point or another with two other people who were also aspies.

Last summer was probably the best one I've had since I started working there. A dyslexic, A paranoid schizo, a schizotypal/bi-polar, and a manager with brain damage from a car accident were among people I could count as co-workers.

They were the easiest group of people to get along with.... Verses summer 2002 when everyone was a bunch of NT teenagers - uhggg. That was hell.

I used to work at a grocery store. I hated it.

That is exactly how I felt about working there. I worked in the Deli section and served demanding people cold meat, raw fish and olives. Fantastic when mixed with an 11 hour shift. I mean some of the people I worked with were nice but the rest either ignored me or got angry at me because I was still learning how to do stuff.

My spell at the grocery store was only good for the money. Now it resides only in my mind, as it's value is close to nothing on my resumae and I never saw any of my co-workers again. Oh well. At least it got me a Playstation.

I used to work at a grocery store (supermarket), both in the United States and Israel. I hated it, but it was a fill-in job until I could get a real job. Some of the people I worked with were nice, but most of them were jerks.

I worked in the grocery store for 2.5 years but hated it. Everyone there hated their jobs.
