Goodnight Sweetheart topic

There was an old TV series in the UK called Goodnight, Sweetheart (1993-1999) over 6 seasons.

Public Television in the US has only aired the first 4 seasons.

I know this sounds trivial, but I need to know how the series resolved itself in the last episode called "Accentuate the Positive." A plot summary will suffice. All I need to know is if Gary chose Phoebe or Yvonne, and what Time Zone he chose to live in.

I have checked the Internet, PBS (US Public TV) and video stores to find the series on DVD. No luck on a plot summary. I cannot watch Youtube video because my computer does not support it.

If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thank you, I owe you a favour.

I used to watch that. It never actually occured to me that it ended and what happened when it finished :?

I just checked it out though. The portal thing he went through closed up while he was in the past. So he got stuck there. And Yeovone got told everything by his friend and Gary wrote a message through the wall saying he loved her and she read it. So he ended up with Phoebe in the past, kind of sad really.

8O :D topic

Amazing! I read the entire script! :D A bazillion thanks, BenjimanBreeg and zebedee, more than I bargained for.
When I searched the Internet I never found the Goodnight, Sweetheart Page, only summaries from the first four seasons. Perhaps the UK has more of a following over there.

I never say forever, though. There is always fan fiction and maybe a movie of the week. Little Mike would be almost a teen and the time would be set in the fifties.

I had a suspicion he would stay there, but voluntarily. Oh, well, the time was set during the war, and when that ended, that was it for the actual plot.

Hope Ron and Yvonne make it. (Keep it clean!)

And I do owe you two, BB and Z, :D :D :salut: :bounce: :sunny:   :hail: :thumleft: :thumright:

No probs. You should check out another serries called "Life On Mars" :P

Oh, and the guy who plays Gary in Goodnight Sweetheart was in probably Britain's most successful comedy, "Only Fools And Horses", for like 10 years.

I am rewatching this series (I have them all on DVD). It is an amazing series and makes me feel so sad thinking about it. I became quite emotionally involved with the characters and plot which is odd for me.

Sweetheart of a series topic

You are lucky, Greyhound. :)

There is a series I watch called Life on Mars but it is the American version on ABC television set in New York in 1973, a time I lived through in my late teens. I know there is aa British version set in the UK. I like time travel stuff, like Xfiles, Time Tunnel, and the like.

WP is THE place for help, Gypsy. I have never been disappointed! :D

I use to watch Goodnight, Sweetheart when it was on ITV3 about 2 - 3 years ago, good show. I know that over here all the seasons are on DVD.
