I've always thought a Shadowrun movie or TV series would be awesome. The old Shadowrun though, not the stupid FPS they put out a year ago.

I'm still laughing from those 'previews'.

The games that I most want to see as movies are the Oddworld games.

I think there will be a Bioshock one, I started the game yesterday and I'm completely shocked by the greatness of this game, if the movie will be out I'll definitely watch it, even tough I never watch movies due to my ridicuolous attention span

haha I love the minesweeper video!

Here's a different take on a Pacman movie:

As for video game movies in general, if they're making a Sims movie I don't think any game is off limits. I'd like to see them make an N movie, that little ninja is awesome

They already made a movie called Super Mario Bros. in the Early 90's. It starred Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo. It was awful and had nothing to do with the games whatsoever.

They were making a Halo film, but I haven't heard anything about it for a few years.

EarthBound, anyone?

(Now here comes the onslaught of "what's EarthBound?")

..And yes, there was a Mario movie that came out in 1993. I was 11 at the time, and I was crazy about it. Although I will admit, seeing it again after all these years, it is pretty lame, it did kind-of sort-of incorporate things from the games. It had Yoshi, Thwomps (well, Thwomp Stompers), Goombas (which, although they had huge bodies in the film, they did get the teeny little round heads about right), Big Bertha (aside from the fact that she's a giant man-eating fish in the games), a cute li'l wind-up Bob-omb with Reebok sneakers, and I always considered that big metal thing that Koopa hides out in toward the end of the film to be a sort of representation of his Clown Car from Super Mario World (sans the clown face).

I haven't played Earthbound yet but you just reminded me that I still have Mother 3 to beat.

Fix't.

I dunno, it had kind of a so stupid it's good quality to it. Nothing to do with the game, sure, but triggered less abject revulsion (as most game movies do) and more cock-your-head-to-the-side-and-say-"huh" to it. It was just so surreal and interpretive that I couldn't help it.

Well, the one movie I'd really like to see is a version of The Sands of Time, which fortunately is already in the works and has some serious not-a-piece-of-shit potential, I think.
