I've just started going back to school and the great thing about it is it only has a small amount of students, we have a meeting before we start classes and today we went around the group to tell each other and say what we felt, i saw this as a perfect opportunity to tell something about me in hope that it wouldn't change anyones perspective of me but rather try and be aware of my disorders. I told them that i have Aspergers Syndrome and an Anxiety Disorder. Has anyone ever done something like this? I am very proud of myself, it took alot of courage and i think i will try and change more of myself in a way that will help me participate more. I am also proud of my disorders. Is anyone else?

Let's hope you are not paying much for such a great setting, as my hometown sees an explosion of enrolment in such schools even though their fees are exorbitant. Such school will be too overcrowded, I wonder how can teachers cope with their students! As such, I study in a mainstream school, even though I do not have the abilities to cope with the stresses, in the social and emotional sense especially, with NTs. And this is my senior year.

I hope things go as you want it to go! I have a few members who changed from huge schools (They loved them) to small schools like that. Small schools can sometimes be very closed minded and will not get along with newcomers that are different and usually are interested in the newcomers that have looks or very outgoing. But, you may get lucky and go to one where it's the total opposite. But, small schools can vary greatly on acceptance of others since they've known their class their whole lives and it can be tough to get accepted with them. But, there are some that'll accept you right in. Hope things turn out great for you!

It is also completely possible that this school would remain an undiscovered gem that would not become too crowded.
