Hello All,

I am new here. I founf out about this site from one of the books I was reading about Asperger's. I was recently diagnosed
with Asperger's after not fitting for most of my life.

After I found out I had Asperger's, I read 'look me in the eye' and 'The Complete Guide to Asperger's.'

I am here to meet people like me.

I have a fiancee who is understanding of me and we just had our first child in December. While I want my little girl to be
smart, I hope she doesn't have Asperger's. It's not a bad thing, really, but I don't want her to go through the things I
went through as a kid.

My favorite thing to do is write, and I love Science Fiction. I am in the process of getting stories ready to submit for
publication and am in the process of writing a few novels. I hang out at the F&SF forum and lurk around other Science Fiction
sites. I am a member of the Critter's Writers Workshop.

Feel free to say 'hi' as I am always looking for new friends. I currently live in Spokane, Washington.

Hello everybody! I'm also brand new! kinda crazy really i was reading wikipedia for a psychology project of all things and came across Asperger's... needless to say my whole life instantly made sense.. i'm a little freaked out how well it described me. I know my dad definately has it. so yeah not only new to the site but i just diagnosed myself. there's next to no doubt in my mind. anyone care to share what it was like when they were first diagnosed/found out?
