I've been a lurker here for a while, but just now signed up, im 14, I was diagnosed with Aspergers when I was young and I have a blog, which you can see in my tagline, in which I talk about, music, movies, hilarious things I saw online, things that annoy me and whatever comes to my mind. One thing I love is when I see "comment from anyonomous or such and such in my email." I like history, politics, and things that make me think, though I dont like math. I also like music, I like everything from the 60s to the 90s but not much of now because most of it isn't good. I love rock and metal, espeshally thrash/speed metal. I cant stand modern country, though I do like older country. The only thing I don't really like is pop music, the most shallow form of music in existence. Also, I was born 4 months early and I have 1 working vocal cord. Which makes my voice all scratchy and distorted and just generally messed up. I tend to get made fun of for that more so than my autism. Anyways I'm just saying Hi.
i think you show all the traits of great taste, but you will require some serious finetuning,
both in the heavy department, and, given time, i shall prove to you that there is ex-cel-lent 'pop' music
would you, just for an example, agree with me that we may lable Abba [pop] ?
if so (me qualified teach, you 14, Jacob12): homework:
write a small essay discussing how Abba does AND does not suit your taste;
and also discuss whether Abba, within the boundaries of the genre itself (is there a ' genre' called ' pop' ?),
would in your mind constitute quality or lack thereof, for instance in terms of shallowness
i am just sad for you, that you cant enjoy singing along as much i can
