Do you ever have those days when you have no qualms with anyone or anything - or aren't particularly out-of-it or just stimming less than usual? If so, does it feel weird for you? How often do you feel normal?

These are short-lived moments for me. I just feel okay. I made good conversation today. I even made myself and someone else laugh.

I almost always feel normal. Don't even feel Aspie half the time. I've come a long ways.

I usually feel normal anyway, but there are those days where I feel really normal and confident I like to call those days "sociable highs", they usully happen about 1/2 nights on school trips and I'm talking to everyone in the dorm and stuff.

I often feel normal at home. Outside I feel Aspie, but I feel normal around other Autistics/Aspies.

When I'm alone at home. That's heaven.

I always feel normal. It is the rest of the world that is not normal.

I wouldn't know because no-one's ever told me what normal's supposed to feel like or even if it exists.

I know I feel like me though.

I am a well adapted Aspie, which is to say I have learned to get along with the neurologically typical folk by developing an algorithm to not be odds (well not too much odds) with their ways. This means I do not have frequent conflicts or problems in living in the normal world. Which is good news since my wife of 52 years is a Normal and all but one of my children are Normals. It took me the better part of 40 years to learn to adapt, but I did. I did not adapt because I dislike being an Aspie (I consider it a gift, not a problem) but because I do not need unnecessary conflict.

I've felt normal for as long as I remember. Normal is a state of mind.

I'm my kind of normal. It's how I always feel.

I can feel quite comfortably normal when the day is done and I'm in my room.

Why would I want to feel that?

At work, I feel normal. I also feel normal in the company of my cats.

You can't 'feel normal' as 'normal' people feel all emotions.
