Are we the human reptilian hybrid that David Icke is always going on about?

I certainly feel like one.

This thread is part tongue in cheek, and part curious about conspiracy theories.

I believe the reptilian theory is a parody of conspiracy theories, which somehow got misconstrued as a real theory. Much like Scientology was a parody of religion.

David Icke has obviously been watching the tv show 'V', full of lizardly aliens.
Wikipedia Entry on V

There's probably a part of the brain that stops you believeing your own BS, and his no longer functions. Feel sorry for him... i've heard that Robbie Williams has gone the same way, though in his case it might be karma rather than misfortune ;)

ive seen pictures of the human fetus at four and a half months it does indeed have the tail of a reptile , its like a remnant of our evolutionary past thats encoded in our genes.for the most part i believe humans were lizards before they were monkeys. also ive learned humans have a part of their brain refered to as the reptilian brain or brain stem'the most ancient part of our brain , responsible for some of our higher functions ,ive never read any thing written by icke, i will after i post this, it kinda makes sence to me that because of our hard wireing status as aspies we could have a different or more access to that part of our brain known as our reptilian brain. interesting thought i just had , the american medical associations symble is twin snakes wrapped around a staff, have u ever heard the expression smart like a snake? i do believe the reptilian consciousness is generally associated with inteligance. in asia its actualy revered in the form of the dragon

You mean like that thing in Titan A.E.? Is this just another aspect of the "furry" subculture? That must be why I'm the only one in my family who likes snakes and lizards.

I've got all David Icke's books and he's still an enigma to me ! On the subjects of ancient history, secret societies, symbolism and the New World Order I find his theories fascinating,if not always 100% convincing. On the other hand, the reptilian stories and others (such as the theory that everyone and everything is only holograms) are so bizarre that I find them almost impossible to take seriously.
It's as if he started finding deep meanings in everything he researched and it all got out of
hand.On the subject of the symbolism of names etc,for example if a man is called Daniel
(meaning 'God is my judge') it doesn't necessarily mean the man himself or his parents
were deeply religious.Names and stories, like those about reptilians, are passed on but it doesn't mean they always represent the original intentions of the storytellers. Still,I'm willing to keep an open mind on it all.
