Thanks for posting that. No, I'd never seen that before. It was amazing. I felt so good for that kid! I can't wait to show it to BF.

Thank you so much for your reply! At first I was thinking may be everyone here would have seen it and felt foolish about posting it. In the end, I thought I should just do it anyway in case someone missed it.

Isn't it totally amazing, inspiring and moving??! I believe autism is gaining more and more awareness and support from the general public. I'm sure given time, more people would see the potentials and strengths of the Autistic community. :o)

how could they have held him back for so long? I mean, do they think his skill is a fluke he figured out just that one night?

It's tragic that our society judge us by our height, our weight and our looks. But that's life.
Bill recently gave at a High School about 11 things kids will not learn in school:

:D Wow, thanks so much OP for posting this, what a wonderful story. It brought tears to my eyes and I still feel very emotional. This is what it is ALL about, find the talents and the gifts in these amazing misunderstood kids and they, the world and those they love and love them are happy. What more could you ask for.

My son has a similar talent on the guitar, he has only been playing for 9mths. His stim before was juggling rulers, remote controls, knives!!, anything long and smooth....................then he found the guitar which kept his fingers busy and the smooth feeling of the wood became his communication. Within 7wks he was playing solo's from Hotel California, Sweet Child of Mine etc. Unbelievable. Not only has it given him a passion that he is amazing at BUT his self esteem and self confidence has gone up and up...............his peer groups admire his talent and now he is a changed lad.

Happily he has been noticed by a major international music company and maybe one day I will be sitting in the front row at the O2 stadium? Who knows! But I do know that that boy had the happiest face I have ever seen. And so do I! Why can't we have more HAPPY stories?

POSITIVE MESSAGES ENCOURAGES POSTIVE FEELINGS! That's the way to do it!
:D :D

I'm sure glad I posted it too! I want to share with all you a great article about how autistics need acceptance, not cure.
Let all work towards getting this message across to family and friends for a start.
