I drink a few glasses of water each day, eat a healthy meal at around 12pm and around 6pm and if I feel hungry after that then I just eat what snacks I want, and I'm cutting down on smoking, I already feel more motivated and more content within myself but I wondered what else could help?
I've taken one multivitamin tablet and a cod liver oil tablet today, uhm, any suggestions?

Thanks
(:

It depends on what you've got.
Sometimes you really need a Rx from a dermatologist.

I had a weird rash thing that looked like acne, but was not related at all.
I needed the Rx because it wasn't going away by itself.
Once it was gone, it didn't come back.

Hey -- I had a doctor who was actually worth something! I had forgotten.

I use the Queen Helene mud mask and it sucks out all blackheads and makes whiteheads liquify. It's amazing.

Then, I use L'oreal's serum (which rebuilds skin from underneath) and people say I con't look my age.

Most important thing, more important than all the other stuff combined: Quit smoking altogether. I know several people whose appearance was wrecked by smoking. It makes people age faster, seriously. It can make 30 look like 45, and not a good 45. It has been the cause of chronic pneumonia in at least 1 person I know, and it stinks. When I'm around it, it's so distracting and distressing that my ability to pay attention and show affection is nearly totally gone.

Exercise is important too. Lots of that makes one strong, physically and mentally robust, and nicely shaped. Good looks aren't just skin deep.

I agree with the above poster. Smoking really ruins your complexion. If you quit altogether, and keep doing what you are doing, you should see a drastic improvement in your complexion. You might want to add antioxidants to your diet, to clean up the damage already done. There are some vitamin formulas out there that stress antioxidants in their formula.

Most simplest suggestion: Keep your hands and fingers constantly "out" of your face. Keep your hair off of your face. Keep other people's hand off of your face. You wouldn't BELIEVE what gets on your finger tips over the course of a normal day. Then you transfer those germs to your face which doesn't get washed as much as your hands do. I used to work as a telephone operator where I used a "common" keyboard. The other operators would sneeze on the keys, pop pimples then continue to type, pick their nose, etc... You name it, they did it! I made it a point to disinfect that keyboard everytime it was my turn to use it. But still I kept my fingers out of my face regardless. Change your bed pillow cover often. Don't lay your face on couch pillows. As you probably do, wash your face before bedtime no matter how tired you are.

Thanks everyone, you've really helped
what foods contain antioxidants though?
and does working out increase your motivation and self-confidence or is that untrue? 'cus I'm having a bad time right now, feeling trapped and needing to gain motivation so I'm hoping these things could help

Carrots, avocadoes, tomatoes, radishes, lettuce, broccoli, apples, grapes, melons, etc etc, ... basically fruit and vegetables; preferably raw, in sticks with dips, or in a salad with fish, nuts, seeds, olives, seafood, etc.

Good luck. Diet makes a huge difference to your skin.

PS. Dairy is frequently a culprit in irritated/inflamed skin conditions, ( lactose and/or casein intolerance ), and sugar is often implicated in spotty/clogged etc skin.

Thanks ouinon,
starting from tomorrow I'll work on reaching my goal then to stop smoking entirely, eat healthyier and write down what I've eaten ewach day etc. and start working out,
I know this would be very hard and I'll have withdrawal symtpoms and feel low because of the change it's doing to my body and brain but I'll just keep in mind that it means it is working and that it'll turn into positive

:)
