Megadeth or Kamelot. Megadeth was the first metal band I really loved and when I met them the guys were super nice and Dave Mustaine was especially kind to me and patient with me so I really respect him and the band for that. And Kamelot is just amazing (and I'm in love with the lead singer, LOL). So I can't decide.

Khanate, Neurosis, Iron Maiden, and if you're counting alternative metal into this then Faith No More as well.

At the minute? Mastodon. With a new album on the way I've been relistening to Blood Mountain and Leviathan and been blown away again. That and I think that some of their artwork would make a decent tattoo. Yes.

Type O Negative's first album is an all-time favourite of mine but most TON fans are quite ambivalent towards that one for some reason.

Fear Factory's Demanufacture is up there as well.

Demanufacture is definitely one of FF's better albums and is definitely up there on the list of albums that have redefined metal as we know it today.

Yes! And contrary to any rumors he is a genuinely great guy. I freaked out and wouldn't shut up babbling, not making any sense, and he stood there and listened to me and talked to me (briefly) and I just have so much respect for him for it. Mike Portnoy, on the other hand, was the total opposite.

(I worked at a radio station so I met a few famous people.)

I don't mean to brag -- I like to bring it up because Dave has this really bad reputation and it's not fair because he's super nice.

Damn dude, that's awesome! Your very lucky to have met such an awesome man. Dave is an amazing musician. That's really cool you had the opportunity to meet him.

I loves Lamb of God like a child loves his blankie. I also love Pantera. (Vulgar Display of Power and Cowboys from Hell rock!)
