Is the Aspie-quiz, accurate? I would link it, but I cannot, since I am new. (My last post was blocked for that.) It's the one at rdot dot net. It links to this site.

Also, there are references to NTs in the forum. Is that a MB reference? Is there a link between INTP and AS?

Hiya,

as far as online quizzes go, that is one of the best/more reliable ones. Of course it still has the fault that it's an online quiz :P

NT = neuro-typical = non autistic person
Although its not a myer briggs reference, here is a link about that: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt67764.html (NB you need to either vote in polls or not be logged in in order to see the results for any poll here)

and welcome :)

Hi asdf - welcome to WP!

I suspect that the Aspie Quiz can be extremely accurate - it uses almost exactly the same questions I was asked during my evaluation. Since people tend to take it (with a personal login) both before & after diagnosis, I think that allows it to be calibrated quite accurately.

Welcome asdf. From what I've read and heard that seems to be the penultimate online test for Aspergers. Many here say that it's the next best thing to a professional diagnosis.

I thank you all for the welcome and information.

Of course, if the quiz I took is the penultimate online test, I am interested in seeing the ultimate.

This penultimate test scored me so:

Your Aspie score: 153 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 47 of 200
You are very likely an Aspie

Until I take the ultimate test, I can boast to everyone who tells me that I am strange that I am a good 23 percent normal. (I'm not sure if the units convert that way, but I guess most NTs would not care.)

I kind of wonder as to the value of getting a doctor's diagnosis. I've worked for federal medical agencies and have known too many doctors to believe that the average doctor would quiz me better than a machine could. I also wonder what benefits a doctor's care could bring, since I'm not sure I would call this an ailment.

However, I would like to know to whatever degree is possible, since it is quite possible that I am no an aspie at all, just an antisocial jerk.
