Hahah, well, I've said it once and I'll say it again, Hector, you look f*****g awesome in long hair. <3 But really, you look fine both ways.
The problem you may encounter is that many women -- at least the ones I know -- go far more by personality, anyway. And if you're targeting more physically attractive women in the first place, chances are they're more likely to 'reject' you. Women are picky.
You'd catch my eye very quickly, actually. But thereafter, I'd realize there are things that just wouldn't work with me, and I'd leave it at that. So, coming from a 'rejector,' I can say you have nothing actually wrong with you in any department, I'm just picky about who I'm going to bed down with. It has to be just perfect for me.
Same with lots of guys I've met, including my now-ex. He's very good looking, has a great personality, but we only work as friends. He's way too logical for me to fit with in any 'romantic' sense, but my god do we hit it off in other ways.
But, seriously, keep the long hair. And take some more pictures, they're demanded. ROCK ON. MORE CURLS.
EDIT: Speaking of curls, my boyfriend's hair is definitely really much better longer, I think. The problem is that it has a major multiple personality disorder, and it's also out of control most of the time so that he has to wear it up. But, as luck would have it, man-tails are also very nice looking.
It really fits him. Long hair looks very natural, and gives a visual impression of confidence, I personally think. It also shows that men can manage to be well groomed without needing to cut it all off, and they're up to the challenge of taking care of themselves. In a way, it's a hell of a lot like the feathers on a male bird who displays to all the female. It definitely works on a lot of women.

Hmm, can't say I do. I usually cut my own hair - with a shaving machine...
This is what I look like when I don't:
Ugly, huh?
EDIT: The image is from 2002.
Holy crap, you look quite a bit like one of my favourite electronic musicians. You don't do music, do you?
