Introducing our newest moderator

I’m pleased to announce that makuranososhi has accepted invitation to the Moderators Group. He has demonstrated strong support for the Wrong Planet mission and I feel confident that he will continue to contribute substantially to making Wrong Planet a peaceful and enjoyable community.

(And I have shamelessly copied MrMark's post , when Lau was invited. Lau used it for me nine months ago and as the junior moderator, I pass the torch to makuranososhi.)

and no, I can't quite prounce it either, however he does sign his posts (a lovely trait, I think) with an M. Welcome makuranososhi!

*bows* I'm glad to help however I can - if there are issues or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Since learning of my son's diagnosis as HFA, and subsequently my own AS, Wrong Planet has been an irreplaceable resource for me; I'm just glad to be able to help out in return.

And it's 'mah-koo-rah-no-so-shee', if anyone does care for a rough pronunciation - it translates in meaning as 'pillow book'.

I've been feeling the same way, for quite a while. WP is "home". So it's good to have as many people to help look after it as possible; thanks very much for taking on the responsibility.

Wow, congratulations Are some of the other moderators going away, and that's why you're adding makuranososhi? Or can you just not have enough mods

MrMark is retiring after a distinguished career of modship on WP and we wish him well as he explores the realm known as 'off - line'. Quatermass is back from his grand tour of Europe and he is welcome (and missed) back. Lau is modding and taking care of the technical side of things. WP is still as much my perseveration as ever and we have Makuranososhi joining the Mod Squad now. There are a couple more mods-in-adjustment around and they will debut in their own threads in their own time.

WP is a thriving community and it is good.
