Just wondering what everyone is planning for Halloween. If the activity you have planned is not listed on the above poll, you can just post and tell us.

And me? i am going to scare the sh*t out of every freaking kid in my neigborhood. I have three things to help accomplish this: A mask, some black robes, and a scythe; the perfect Death guise. I plan to disguise myself as Death, hide in the shadows until some young kid comes around, then emerge yelling bloody murder and hope that they drop their baskets and do the same. Ohhh, somewhere in Cordova, in the dead of night on the last night of October, some poor kid is gonna die of fright (and then i can meet my double! ). See you later, and wish me luck.

"Stay home and do nothing" -- but should have chosen, "None of the above." I don't believe any of us will literally "do nothing." :)

Living in a community with people mainly over the age of 55, it will be just like any other night for me. A combination of being online and most likely playing Scrabble with my mother.

Sounds boring. I have to work till 7 then get something to eat. I feel sorry for you. My Phychatrist says I need to get out more and make friends instead of talking to people on the computer. He said join a club or something and we talked about I did not have a gf.

What's sounds or is actually boring to someone isn't boring to someone else.

It may sound boring; however my situation and being boring are two different things. It isn't my fault my parents are both over 55 and my father can't do things like he would like and used to do. I go places when I really have to and want to.

As for Halloween specifically... I never cared for Trick or Treating. I've gone out less than a half dozen times, dressed up (as far as I remember) once, maybe twice.

I am sure I am not the only one that never was interested in the tradition of the holiday.

no bit in the poll for doing anything of spiritual significance?

Halloween comes from the old (and current) festival of Samhain. i shall be celebrating Samhain.

I'm giving out candy dressed as Sherlock Holmes...

How's that for self-reference?

Today my mother will be taking my back to college, and I'll spend the day like most other days when I have free time: by browsing the Internet, reading online forums, visiting chat rooms, and overeating (candy probably). Yeah, it's not the peak of excitement.

Our oldest daughter and I will be giving out candy dressed in our renaissance costumes while hubby takes the younger kids round the neighborhood trick-or-treating. Then we go to my sister's house (one block away) for pumpkin pie and cider while her kids and ours sort/trade/eat their candy.

I am handing out candy; eating some of it; and being scared by/scaring little children.

I failed to carry out my plans this year, but there's always next year! Perhaps it would work better if i dressed as one of the Nazgul. or even better...Get eight of my friends and we all dress up as the Nazgul!
