What is your true eye color? Mine are green (almost teal), but they started out as dark blue for my first two years of life. So what is your natural eye color? Contacts don't count!! !

Also, I recently found out that you must have at least a little bit of German or Irish in you to have green eyes. If you do have green eyes, and you're not of either one of those descents, please let me know!

Oh, and what are your parents' eye colors? My mom's are light green and my dad's are light blue. :)

EDIT: Argh, stupid poll didn't add the 'other' option in. If your eye color isn't on there, just don't bother voting, okay?

A common dark brown.

Well, mine are MOSTLY green. I guess it is a grey area, followed by most of the rest of the iris, which is green, and then a dark green ring around that. My mother and father have plainer green eyes. My mother is mostly irish, and my father is mostly german. BTW MY eyes started out blue also. For a while there, I wondered if they would switch back. They didn't though.

Blue. It's interesting to note that blue is the majority, but the population of the survey is still very small.

"green as two peeled green grapes," as my father used to cackle!
Green as peridot and I collect peridots because I am fascinated by the color. I don't WEAR much unless I can see them sparkle on my fingers, or near to me. I look up and see several stones right here where I sit. . .

green with a capital Gree!

Blue/aquamarine

My father (and both of my younger siblings) have brown eyes
My mother has grey eyes

Interestingly, two of my grandparents had their eye colors change later in life. (grandfather: black-light teal, in his 40's and grandmother from blue to brown, in her early teens).

my eyes change color a lot. They were blue when I was a baby, then started alternating between blue and green. Now they're sort of a dark grayish green, almost black.

I'm part german, english, scottish, and a few others, but no irish

Mine are brown. My mom's are green, and my dad's were brown...brown is the dominant color, so I am stuck with them.

Women with blue eyes seem to have an innocent, cheery, and loving quality to them.
Women with green and hazel eyes have a sexy and mysterious sense to them.

My eyes are more turquoise than blue, they are blue-green. My mother's eyes were light blue, my father's brown.

My eyes are usually green, but they change. They can be anything from emerald to blue to hazel.

Grey is how it is described on my ID card. It is a weird color between greyish green and greyish blue. For additional confusion: my glasses (which are tinted somewhat) make them appear a bit brown-ish.
