Recommendations for really old movies?

I would like to get some recommendations on really, really old movies which was released during the 1930 to 1960.

I will then search for them at YouTube to see what they got.

"Kind Hearts and Coronets"

which is a 1949 black and white comical film about a man who commits a sting of murders, it is very funny.

Metropolis ( i think thats the name)

Silent movie about a culture that has a underground class doing all the work for them. First sci-fi movie made iirc.

Well Metropolis was in 1927, so that's before 1930. But I think 1930 is an unfair limit if you're talking about really good older movies. If you go earlier than 1930 you can see other german expressionist films like The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari, Nosferatu, Destiny (der Muede Tod), The Student from Prague, and the Golem. IMO the golden age of German cinema has some of the best movies ever made.
